flowers with raindrops in my chest
my brain is dripping from my head
through my ears showers spill and drench
i can't recall what she said
a lot of simple sounds can do a lot to me
prettiest thing i've ever seen.
a gruff old voice and a knock on the door
my brain's now sand and chooses to ignore
if it could do what it's done every day before
it wouldnt fall through my fingers anymore
now i'm paralyzed beneath the sheets
prettiest thing i've ever seen.
bathroom tile beneath my being
neat but scribbled words beneath
i want to go home, be free
but the closest I’ve come is this melody
but home has always been out of reach.
prettiest thing i've ever seen.
