an angel weeps

an angel weeps
it thrashes round so carelessly.
the bright sky leaks
the sorrow and pain
it says to me
shimmering on the windowsill
asleep, fading;
release.

i'll rest my bones tonight
ill rest my lungs tonight
ill rest my veins;
what my body contains
tonight
but i'll discard my mind.

in the womb i dreamt
a bullet through my feared delusions
limbs descend
from my head
my lungs' pooled rain
the leaks and tears so mesmerizing
drill my brain
awake

ill live a life, alive
each moment dictates time
consciousness
is a curse that's fixated
on lies.
that keeps me alright.

i'll rest my bones tonight
ill rest my lungs tonight
ill rest my veins;
what my body contains
tonight

but i'll discard my mind.
i'll discard my mind
i'll discard my mind
i'll discard my mind
i'll discard my mind
